IDEACT acted alongside 123 Investment Managers in connection with the management buyout (MBO) of Bordeaux River Cruise.
123 IM and Axio Capital supported the transfer of the Bordeaux River Cruise group.
Bordeaux River Cruise operates two complementary businesses: a tourism and event business with Les Bateaux Bordelais, offering restaurant cruises and sightseeing tours on the Garonne River with its own fleet of boats, and the operation of Bordeaux Métropole’s river public transport service on behalf of Keolis.
The tourism and river transport company, which has been supported since 2014 by Aquiti Gestion and Crédit Agricole Aquitaine Expansion, was acquired by its management team (Sylvain Rosier) through an MBO led by Axio Capital alongside 123 IM.
Sylvain Rosier chose the proposal from Axio Capital, whose project aligns with the corporate culture he successfully developed. Axio Capital becomes the majority shareholder, supported by 123 IM, notably through a new fund dedicated to financing the Tourism and Leisure sector. The group’s historic banks, CIC and LCL, complete the financing with senior bank debt.
